THE DETAILS

Brittany Boll and Randy Phillips take you inside the home of Larry and Susie Royalty at 1416 Locust. This house … has a past. It is known around Quincy as “The Monckton Mansion” where Leo Monckton reportedly hosted a friend from Chicago, Al Capone, on numerous occasions. This home was built for Charles Savage, manager of Quincy-Toledo Railroad, in 1865, just as America was ending its Civil War. It was purchased in the 1930s by Leo & Mildred Monckton, who allegedly had Prohibition, gambling, and Mafia ties, thus the Capone friendship.

SEE Quincy, the Quincy Convention and Vistors Bureau, brings you Muddy TV Cribs.
