Dale Koontz Builder of Quincy celebrated 50 years in business on March 1.  The custom home building and remodeling company was founded by Dale and Donna Koontz in 1973.

Over the last 50 years DKB has been responsible for a number of subdivisions and developments in Quincy, including Cambridge Estates, Tuscany Fields and Wildhorse for single family homes, and Gardendale and Knollwood condominiums.  DKB has also completed the third phase of the Trinity Lakes subdivision and an expansion of the Drakewood subdivision. 

Today DKB is owned by Dale and Donna’s sons Tim (President) and Scott (Secretary/Treasurer).  Scott’s son Matthew (Vice President) also owns an interest in the business, and is poised to lead the company as the third generation of family ownership.
