A majority of city council members approved The Doggy Paddlers’ request for the city to help with new lighting.

For the first time since being elected mayor, Linda Moore cast a vote, saying she was surprised by the number of no votes.

“We had a couple flip on us,” Moore told Muddy River News after the meeting.

It was the mayor who proposed using $25k from the Food and Beverage Tax after the Doggy Paddlers already secured $100k of the $175k needed for the improved lighting.
