THE DETAILS

Today on the Daily Muddy, we’re highlighting two powerful examples of community in action. First, Nicole Dieker Finley joins us to talk about the Unitarian Church of Quincy’s Candlelight Dinner and Cabaret happening Saturday, January 31 – an evening of candlelit cuisine and live music exploring love in all its forms. Dinner reservations are $60 per person and can be made by contacting Mike Flanagan at (217) 257-1413 or ml@flan3.net, and the cabaret is open to all with a free-will donation. Then, we shift to a big heart and a bold goal.

Thirteen-year-old Madi Weatherford is celebrating the eighth year of Madi’s Kindness Project, turning her birthday into a fundraiser for the Northeast Missouri Humane Society. You can support the cause by donating via Venmo: @Madiskindnessprojects, PayPal:madiskindnessprojects@gmail.com, or by following Facebook: Madi’s Kindness Projects, where you’ll also find Amazon and Walmart wishlists for the animals. And yes – if Madi hits her $1,000 goal, Humane Society staff have agreed to turn her into a human sundae. Food, music, kindness, and a little whipped cream – it’s a Daily Muddy you won’t want to miss.
