THE DETAILS
Today on the Daily Muddy, we’re talking about community, connection, and the causes that bring us together. Katie Neeley with NAMI West Central Illinois shares details about their upcoming Walk for Mental Health on October 11. The walk supports affordable and accessible programs, education, and services that so many in our community rely on. You can sign up or donate online at namiwalks.org/wcil — there’s no registration fee, and it promises to be a day full of purpose and possibility.
Then we switch gears to music and memory. Quincy Symphony Orchestra executive director Jane Polett and conductor Dr. Thomas Lymenstull preview this Sunday’s “An American in Paris” concert at the Morrison Theater. Dr. Lymenstull, a Quincy High School graduate and former QSO Young Artist soloist, returns to his hometown stage. Tickets are $15–$18, free for kids 18 and under, and available at QSOA.org, Hy-Vee, Sturhahn Jewelers, or at the door.
