THE DETAILS
QUINCY — Muddy River News obtained video on Thursday from the Adams County State’s Attorney’s office — through a Freedom of Information Act request — showing what happened in the parking lot of McDonald’s Restaurant, 1301 Broadway, on the night of Nov. 22, 2022.
Security video that night from McDonald’s shows Dailean Millner-Williams driving his car into another parked car in an attempt to injure Christopher Pratt. Pratt suffered a broken fibula in the crash. Millner-Williams then reached inside the other vehicle and started striking Pratt, then argued with another woman and pushed her down. Millner-Williams then left the scene before police arrived.
Millner-Williams agreed to a plea negotiation and pled guilty to:
- One count of vehicular invasion, a Class 1 felony punishable for between 4 to 15 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections;
- One count of leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, a Class 2 felony punishable for between 3 to 7 years in the Illinois Department of Corrections;
- One count of aggravated battery, a Class 3 felony punishable for between 2 to 5 years in the Illinois Department of Correction
Millner-Williams received a 15-year sentence in the Illinois Department of Corrections on May 8, 2023. One count of attempted first-degree murder, as well as three other counts, were dropped. Millner-Williams was eligible to receive day-for-day credit, meaning he will serve 7 1/2 years in prison.
